When I touch the Videos and iPod apps on my iPad, the screen for each comes up for 2 seconds, then goes straight back to the home screen. I've turned it off and on twice and reset it once. Any more suggestions?

I have an ipad 1. While looking at a website in safari I will click to go to another page and, while it's loading, it will give me a black screen and then kick me out and go back to the iPad home screen. It doesn't happen all the time.

Kicking Back To Home Screen?

I have a used iPad 1st gen 16gb 3g. I have only owned this for around 1 month. I know about the 'multi tasking' and I only have the one app open while using the ipad.
What I have found is I keep getting kicked back to the home screen, while using a number of different apps and The web browser is a pain for doing it.
I have done a factory reset, but its doing it just the same, if not more so.
Also I getting really tired of when i start to type it does one or two things, I start to type on the keyboard, then while typing it removes the keyboard and what i type has gone, also sometimes it again kicks me out of the app.
What I have found in the past also is when Apple brings out a 'new' version of the iOS I am using, they aways seem to start going wrong more and more, or running very slow, its the ipod touch and ipad.

IPad Air :: Running Back To Home Screen

Since updating to IOS 7 I am getting kicked out of whatever app I am running back to Home screen. This happens on my iPad Air, on my iPhone 5, on my wife's iPad 3, and her iPad Mini. It does NOT happen with her iPhone 4, she still has IOS 6 on that. It does not happen all the time, & not on just one particular app, but it DOES happen more frequently, it seems, when I'm in Safari. What happens is, say I'm on Safari reading something, then out of the blue it kicks me off Safari back to Home screen. I go back & bring up Safari again but the page I had up is gone & I have to start all over again! I have tried a hard reset, but beyond that don't know what to do. Someone suggested I do a complete reset & restore but am very reluctant to do that. Why would restore fix problem if it happens on different devices(wife's iPad & iPhone).

I have a 64Gb iPad WiFi model and recently i noticed that whenever I press
the iPod App the screen changes for a brief moment and returns back to the Home Screen. I have restored the Defaults but it makes no difference.I can see the songs in Finder but there are 0 songs listed under Settings - About iPad.
I have 150 Apps loaded.

i was messing around in garageband. using all the smart instruments. when all of a sudden i was messing with the electric guitar and i was moving the strings. and it locked up. could not go back to instruments. couldn't go back to home screen. could not make ipad goto sleep. tried numerous times. finally i held down sleep button and home button and it went to sleep. then i was able to reboot it. went back into garageband and my song i was working on was still there.
