Audible artifacts in FL Studio. These are usually caused by 'buffer underruns'. That is, the audio stream to the soundcard is interrupted when a temporary memory-buffer holding the audio data runs dry. This is caused by CPU and or Hard Disk overloading. I'm new with Studio One and I am having problems recording piano and experiencing delayed sound and glitches in the sound when I listen back to a track. First, the piano thing. When I record piano and listen back to it, it plays without sustain even though I'm using a pedal. Then, the sound delay. Maybe thats normal, I'm just a bit of a noob, but when i talk into the mic (sEX1) the audio from the computer is delayed a bit. Thats not a very big problem as I can turn of the sound from the computer (slightly older compaq laptop) but it would be useful to hear my self singing and stuff. The sound glitches just turns up sporadically over the track. The sound just hack and sometimes disappear and so on. Maybe it's the computer or maybe I havent set up the right settings for the sound. I'm using the Presonus USB Audiobox. But what should be the first things in the computer audio settings that you set up? Thankful for answers.
There is no possibility for anything anymore. // M.I.A

Your buffer settings in your AudioBox driver setup will determine how much 'delay' (latency) you suffer during the recording. The higher the buffer setting (say, over 1024) the longer the delay- but the better your PC will run a DAW. Try sound card settings of 44.1kHz, 16 bit audio with a buffer of 512 samples. You should hear a very slight delay.. maybe not. If you laptop still glitches I'm afraid your PC doesn't have enough grunt. You should post your system specs (OS, RAM and CPU). That'll tell a few folks here a lot.
