Old is Gold! This is probably not the first time you’re reading this phrase, and trust me it won’t be the last time either. Today we will be writing about Nintendo’s very own Wii Emulator and how anyone can run Wii Emulator for PC in the easiest way possible. We all have a little boy/girl inside us who yearns to go back to the preciously beautiful childhood days. Do you remember the times when your best friend was a Nintendo console? Or the time when helping Mario reach his promised land was your ultimate mission for life? Change is the only constant in the gaming world. In the same way, gaming consoles have evolved so much in the past decade or so, taking real life experiences to a whole new level.

Just like every other piece of technology, only the fittest shall survive in this arena too! It’s about cutting-edge technologies, advanced graphics, and utterly seductive game plots. We’ve come too far and technology has gotten us there. So much so, that we have forgotten the times when Nintendo used to rule the world, when the highly coveted Sony PlayStation revolutionized the industry with the influx of compact discs, and when Sega was actually a buzzword among kids!

In a nutshell, the days of multiple cartridges or mind boggling 2D graphic serenity have been rendered obsolete, but that doesn’t mean they’re not fun anymore. We can’t go back to that time for obvious reason, but we can relive a major part of our nostalgic memories through gaming. This is where emulators enter the fray!

What a Wii emulator essentially does is, it converts PowerPC instructions into x86 instructions. This is one reason why emulation is a daunting task. f. Once you have all these pre-requisites and you’ve downloaded the files that were missing, you will be well equipped to properly launch Dolphin.exe.

g. Now, connect your Wiimotes so that you can unravel the fun in all its glory by playing with an actual controller. There might be other options as well [Like acquiring a wireless infrared sensor bar as a substitute for the actual controller], but since we’re all gaming lovers here, let’s not get into the boring nitty-gritty details!

Note – Before connecting your controller with the PC, re-check if the Bluetooth has been set up on your machine. This can happen with the help of a dongle or an internal chip. Since we’re talking about Windows here, right click on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray and complete the setup by clicking on ‘Add a Device’. Meanwhile, press and hold the 1 & 2 buttons on your Wiimote controller up until the LEDs begin to flash constantly.

There’s no need to download any additional drivers as your PC will have instantaneously detected your Wiimote. Select the ‘Nintendo RVL-CNT-01’ option and click on ‘Pair Without a Code’.

h. Now pay attention to the Dolhpin screen and click on the button – ‘Wiimotes’. Now hit ‘Refresh’ and your controller will start buzzing signaling that it has been paired and found. Voila! You’re ready to roll! In case of multiple controllers, all you need to do is follow the above mentioned protocol.

The developer of that product wants a $60 'upgrade' fee to use secure FTP and I wasn't prepared to that. Is there an easier way to do this or is the manual inputting of the VPN IP impossible to avoid? Teamviewer VPN is another option, but it seems there is unavoidable manual work involved in obtaining the target VPN IP and then manually having to enter that into my backup program every time. The reason that I am interested is that I have two residences, one in Canada the other in the USA and I am doing automated backups over the net using a product that does not employ secure FTP. Recently I used the VPN capability built within TeamViewer. Teamviewer 10 for mac.
